Upcoming Czech Friendlies, Take 2

January 25th, 2006 | By: Wendy | 2 Comments »

So if you’ve been playing the at-home game, you already know that the Czech Republic is slated to play Turkey and Saudi Arabia in friendlies in March and May respectively. Never one to pass up rumors, we have it on good authority from a source in Paraguay that the Czechs will be playing them on 30 May. Other opponents are said to be Trinidad & Tobago and Costa Rica.

We’ll keep you posted as these dates firm up.

I wish they would line up a game against an African team that is fast and physical like Ghana. A friendly against Nigeria might be good preparation.

That does seem to be quite an oversight considering the group they’re in. I’d think they’d want to have at least one African team on their list of friendlies so they’ll know how to adapt. We’ll see – the schedule is far from set yet.
