Smicer Misses First Practice

May 22nd, 2006 | By: Wendy | No Comments »

At a time when any injury is critical, PragueTV is reporting that Vladimir Smicer missed the first training session due to injury.

On the Czech squad’s first full day at their Seefeld, Austria training camp, 22 of Karel Bruckner’s 23 players underwent two training sessions yesterday. Only Vladimir Smicer was missing from the training ground – the injured Bordeaux midfielder worked out in the gym instead, under the supervision of the team doctor. On Thursday, the Czech national team plays an unofficial friendly game against a Tyrol XI, then plays Saudi Arabia on Friday.
