Mlada Boleslav seeks to upend Submarine

December 20th, 2007 | By: Os Davis | No Comments »

Mlada Boleslav heads to Fiorentina tonight for each team’s fourth game in UEFA Cup pool play; Fiorentina needs just a draw to advance, but a surprise (and boy would it be a surprise, it seems; Goal.com, just to name one example, has the Yellow Submarine 2-0) win by the Czechs puts them in second place in the Group C table.

Well, at least Sébastien Frey is out

Meanwhile, Sporting Life notes that “For Czech Republic star Tomáš Ujfaluši it is the first time he will face a club from his country in European competition. The defender also comes up against former teammate, goalkeeper Petr Pizanowski.”
