I’m back and I have news on Skacel

I’m back from a worldwind tour of the UK, taking in some of the best footie the world has to offer! Did you miss me? Did you miss my waxing poetic on Milan’s abs? Yeah, didn’t think so.

Anyways, I had the occasion to visit Edinburgh whilst in the UK, home of WorldCupBlog darling and Czech international Rudi Skacel. As you may note, we’ve been following Rudi for a few months as he tries to make his way onto the Czech side in Germany. Apparently WCB isn’t the only one enamoured with Rudi; on my cab ride to the Edinburgh airport, my driver could not stop talking about Rudi once he found out I was a Czech fan. If you love Hearts, you love Rudi. End of story. But the big question now is “Will he stay?”. Sounds like that all depends on whether Hearts can get a Champions League spot out of the deal. I bet Marseille might also have a thing or two to say, since they do still own Rudi’s contract, but I would love to see him stay at Hearts, where he’s getting playing time AND tearing up the league. Good on ya, Rudi. I want to see you in Germany!

Welcome back. I was hardly an adequate guest blogger. I didn’t mention Milan’s abs once.

Oh Wendy, you don’t know how we missed you. Drowned my sorrows in Becherovka and knedliky. Sigh, flutter, flutter.

Hmm, doesn’t “knedlika” mean “dumpling”? I heard that’s Tomas Rosicky’s nickname, for less-than-obvious reasons…..
