Drama on the pitch for Sparta

Just when I was bemoaning the lack of drama on the pitch for the Czechs, I find this gem from PragueTV.

SLAVIA LEAVE PITCH IN REFEREEING PROTEST
Angry at Jaroslav Jara’s refereeing of yesterday’s Gambrinus Liga game against Liberec, Slavia Praha coach Karel Jarolim withdrew his team from the pitch for nearly 20 minutes.

Jarolim’s protest, in the 68th minute of the game, followed the sending-off of two Slavia players and the decision to award Liberec a 61st-minute penalty. Slavia, who were winning 1-0 at half time, eventually lost the game 3-1.

Slavia, who plan to file an official complaint about Jara’s officiating, are now likely to be punished by the Czech football association’s disciplinary commission for their actions. Slavia officials were also angry about the refereeing of the recent Sparta-Slavia derby.
