The Czech squad headed out to Basel without Pospěch

June 6th, 2008 | By: Yuko Méd'a Orii | No Comments »

According to Czech Republic FA’s website, one of their defenders Zdeněk Pospěch will be missed from the 1st tournament match against Switzerland due to catching a cold. The team spokesperson Mr. Lukáš Tuček stated that Pospěch’s cold is “normal,” and his fever is lowering now. Nevertheless, to keep checking his condition and if he still fits to the national squad or if they need a sub for him, it has been determined that he will stay in Seefeld, their training base.

On a brighter note, Tomáš “the kapitán” Ujfaluši who suffered a light abdominal injury in the past few days re-joined the training and departed for Basel with the squad today.
